As stated earlier in my blog, I would like to interview professor Iemma from the English department. I had the pleasure of participating in her romanticism course last semester, and she is now one of my directors at the Writing Center. I feel she is a wealth of knowledge for the field I would like to go into and has a lot of experience. I hope to accomplish many of her experiences. My mechanism for interviweing her woud be to focus on asking questions that pertain to what I wanna do. But to also ask her about what steps she took to get to where she is today and how she went about taking those steps. I also want to ask her about being the director of the Writting Center as that is a goal of mine as well.
Interview Questions
- What kind of degree did you get?
- Why did you decide to get your PhD and what PhD are you getting? Where did you get your PhD?
- Did you get your masters? Where?
- Do you have to get your masters at the same school you get your PhD?
- If I want to publish my own books and teach English, do I get my PhD in English or Higher Education?
- How did you land the role of Interim director of the University Writing Center and how has it impacted your career path?
- How did you handle people who told you it wasn’t worth it?
I am hoping to conduct this interview through Zoom because I feel this would be the most beneficial platform and I can get all questions answered at once.
